The full story
Iron Forge Apps gave Claude Opus 5.5 twelve game functions as compiled machine code, six from the Doom source release and six new ones, and checked its C byte for byte against the original. Eleven matched, in under ten minutes; one 11-line function needed 35 attempts, and one never matched.
The video puts that against what real decompilation projects have measured, and explains why two AI-driven projects received legal notices.
