The full story
A startup founder turned investor, who hadn't written code professionally in years, built the recipe app he always wanted in two to three weeks: 35,000 lines with a Rails back end, a React front end and a voice assistant so you don't touch the iPad with messy hands. Most of it was built in Windsurf, with Claude Code and Gemini used for the trickier features.
