The full story
Edis is fully blind and owns several 3D printers, starting with a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon after a 2023 workshop run by the Danish Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He now runs an accessibility consultancy that includes 3D-printed aids such as tactile fire escape plans with raised lines and Braille.
Slicers and printer touchscreens are largely unusable without sight, so he used Claude to build software that lets blind people operate commercial printers and slicers themselves.
The post describes why the tool exists more than how it works.
