The full story

AUDIOPOST lets you type in a Tumblr username and see and play all of that blog's audio posts, filtered by month or year, with a player that keeps going with the screen locked. The maker, a musician, used to rely on a similar web app made by an early Tumblr editor that has been broken for years, and missed it.

It was built with Claude Code in TypeScript using test-driven development, with the logo and front end worked out in Claude Design. One feature works around Tumblr returning 502 errors for tracks that haven't been played in a while: the app checks each file first and quietly retries every 31 seconds, up to five times, so playback carries on. The maker rewrote the site's copy themselves.

What this is. Real projects where people used Claude to build, fix, port, revive or take apart something, from jailbroken Kindles to rebuilt DOS games, plus the times it went badly wrong. Every build links to where it was shared, and every source is listed here.

How far to trust it. We summarise what people reported and say what each build rests on: a full write-up with code, a short post, or a passing comment. We haven't tested them ourselves. Photos are shown from the original sources with credit. Only modify hardware you own, and back up first.

Privacy. No accounts. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them; no ads or cross-site tracking. Searches are counted anonymously (just the words) to show what's popular, and so are clicks on Ask Claude (just the count).
