A browser extension overlaying Squadrats squares on OS maps
A complete non-coder had Claude work out how Ordnance Survey maps render and build an extension that overlays Squadrats squares on them.

The full story
The poster, a UK user of the Ordnance Survey mapping site and the Squadrats app, wanted the Squadrats grid of visited squares shown on OS maps, which does not support it. Claude wrote code to probe how OS maps renders its maps and how to inject an extra overlay, then wrote the extension and install instructions.
It took many attempts, and a hint from Gemini when Claude got stuck. The result shades unvisited large squares clear, visited ones light green and visited small squares light blue, which makes planning routes to new areas easier. It was all done in Sonnet 4.6.
