The full story
In a lo-fi electronica mood after a Boards of Canada announcement, the author went back and forth with Claude on designing instruments for that sound in the browser. The result, modal-16, is a browser-based polyphonic synthesiser, drum machine and generative sequencer built with Tone.js, for live performance and composition.
