The full story
An elderly mother who watches satellite TV kept getting stuck: lost in menus, a Sky Q box showing a blue screen, pop-ups, or the wrong input.
In about 90 minutes, Claude Code built a simple touchscreen panel with her three favourite channels, a mute button and an all-off button. Each channel button is a macro that turns the TV on, selects HDMI 1 and enters the channel number. It is slower than a person who knows the remotes, but it always gets her back to the right channel whatever she has pressed.
The proof of concept ran across the home network from a Windows PC to her TV and Sky Q Mini box.
