The full story
In a first Home Assistant build, the owner added temperature sensors and smart radiator thermostats with a 24-hour heating schedule. They then saw the child lock toggling every few hours, temperature settings fluctuating and the heating switching on and off, and spent a few days troubleshooting.
With Claude's help they found the cause: holding the thermostat button for three seconds toggles the child lock, and their one-year-old had been doing exactly that. The next step was an automation to switch the child lock back on whenever it is turned off.
