A macOS daemon for the Clawdmeter BLE device
A non-developer used Claude to write a Python BLE daemon so the Clawdmeter usage display works from a Mac, by porting the project's Linux shell script.

The full story
Clawdmeter's repo offered macOS support only to whoever would prompt it into existence, so the poster built it with Claude over a few hours. They read the Linux shell script to follow its logic, wrote a Python daemon using bleak for Bluetooth LE, worked out that the Keychain stores credentials as nested JSON, got the GATT UUID right and set up a LaunchAgent to start it at boot.
It worked, and the device now shows usage on the desk. Someone else had merged a macOS daemon pull request while they were building theirs.
