The full story

The maker uses a teleprompter, which needs the image flipped left to right, and found no remote desktop or screen mirroring app that could do it. So they built a Windows app that streams their desktop to a tablet, mirrored. They had a working version with touch, a microphone and dictation in a couple of days.

Claude wrote most of the code while the maker directed it and tested on real hardware and real calls. Two bugs took real work to find: an audio cable running at two different speeds, and Windows Explorer crashing because of something the app was doing.

What this is. Real projects where people used Claude to build, fix, port, revive or take apart something, from jailbroken Kindles to rebuilt DOS games, plus the times it went badly wrong. Every build links to where it was shared, and every source is listed here.

How far to trust it. We summarise what people reported and say what each build rests on: a full write-up with code, a short post, or a passing comment. We haven't tested them ourselves. Photos are shown from the original sources with credit. Only modify hardware you own, and back up first.
