A PlayStation 1 text editor with a Claude assistant
A Pico 2 in the controller port links a USB keyboard and SD card to a PS1 editor, with Claude-written PS1 and Python code.

The full story
This is a text editor for the original PS1 for writing long documents, with an AI assistant built in. A Raspberry Pi Pico 2 in controller port 2 talks to the console 60 times a second, reading a USB keyboard and saving documents to an SD card. A Python script on a PC passes the document and question to Claude, or a local or OpenAI-compatible model, and streams the answer back.
Claude wrote the PS1 code and the Python script, as the maker knew little about PS1 development. The maker wrote the Pico code and fixed the parts of Claude's code that caused problems on real hardware.
