The full story
Claude Opus 5.5 wrote a four-minute rock song that moves from 1950s rock'n'roll to hard rock. It was composed in Python as MIDI (8,608 notes across six parts) and rendered with a free sampled soundfont, with no AI audio generator.
The video is a 3D scene built entirely in code in Godot, with every strum, key press and drum hit landing on its note. It took several sessions: Opus split work across sub-agents, the maker reviewed clips and pointed out problems such as a guitar clipping through a body, and Claude fixed them and added automatic collision checks.
