A self-healing homelab health check built in n8n with Claude
In about an hour with Claude, the owner built an n8n workflow that checks every service, runs a healing script on failure and alerts on Discord only if it persists.
The full story
Pairing self-hosted n8n with Claude, the owner built in about an hour a workflow that runs a health check on every service, tries a basic fix such as a reboot or rebuild when something fails, checks again, and notifies them on Discord only if the problem persists. It took some debugging and trial of ideas that did not work.
They have since built other workflows for rotating VPNs and for plain-language reports on firewall logs.
