Giving an agent unconfirmed command access to your whole system means one bad command can wipe it.
The full story
The poster gave Claude Desktop filesystem, command execution and browser automation tools, and turned on the bypass for command confirmations, while building a Spline 3D React app. A "Remove-Item -Recurse -Force" command ended up with system-wide scope.
All desktop files were deleted without going through the Recycle Bin, a taskkill command closed every Node.js and Electron process and corrupted desktop apps, and the taskbar stopped working. The system became unstable and had to be completely reinstalled. The poster says it was their own fault for letting it run system commands.
