An ageing healthcare desktop app rewritten for the web
A developer with no web experience had Claude rebuild a Canadian healthcare desktop app as patient booking and billing portals, now in a test clinic.
The full story
A developer's Canadian healthcare desktop application was showing its age, and they wanted to move it online, but knew nothing about web development. Claude taught them the basics and over a few months built two applications: a patient portal for booking appointments online and a billing portal for the office, about 60,000 lines of code in all.
It isn't finished but it works. The first small test clinic was onboarded the week before the post, and so far it is going well.
