The full story
The poster found DMX lighting software slow for hand-crafting shows. Their setup runs from the DMX fixtures through an Enttec DMX device and ArtNet to a computer, where Claude Code found all the fixtures and calibrated them. It knows where each device sits in the studio, plus its channel mappings and capabilities.
After uploading a track, the poster can generate a light show instantly without AI, or use an LLM to build one. They say this lets them drop their SoundSwitch lighting software and hardware device.
