The full story
The poster asked Claude Opus 5.5 to port the Armagetron project to WebGL and deploy it with a websocket-based multiplayer backend on GenHTTP Lambda. The initial port took 1.6 million tokens, and bug fixing and multiplayer improvements took another 600,000.
They gave only user requirements, no technical details, so Claude wrote and pushed the backend alone. It uses one websocket connection per player and sends the network state at 60 Hz via protobuf. A playable link is shared in the post.
