The full story
NLC tests whether an LLM can write executables directly: give it a natural-language spec, and it returns the raw bytes of a working program, with no source language, compiler, assembler or linker in between. The author has rerun the experiment with each new model for a couple of years, and this was the first time the results were good enough to share.
