Given a mostly working ESP32 oscillator repo and the instruction "Be creative!", Claude Code came up with its own complex oscillator design.

The full story
The maker had built ESP32 hardware on stripboard and spent a weekend coding a complex oscillator for it. Frustrated, they pointed Claude Code at their mostly working repo with minimal instructions and told it to "Be creative!".
The result, Claudius, uses what Claude called harmonic cascade synthesis, where higher harmonics decay faster than lower ones, plus wavefolding and a chaotic element based on the Lorenz attractor. The maker says it has a long way to go before it is properly usable, but a lot is in place.
