The full story
Lumen is a Windows DAW written in C++/JUCE with Claude. This week the poster got real GarageBand 11 .band projects opening on Windows without a Mac. The format is undocumented, so Claude was given real GarageBand projects and Logic Pro screenshots to work out how the files work.
Lumen can now load audio tracks and regions with positions and trims, plus volume, pan, tempo, key and effects such as EQ, compressor, noise gate, pitch correction, echo and reverb. The effects were ported as built-in plugins and tested against the originals. MIDI and software instruments do not work yet, and GarageBand 10 and earlier is unsupported.
