The full story
The maker needed to show a video on a display and found that existing GIF-to-C++ converters only handled GIFs and offered no choice of algorithm. A few hours with Claude Code produced gifToCPP, a free online tool that takes video or GIFs, lets you choose display settings and algorithms, and outputs code to upload to an ESP32.
They would like to add over-the-air upload, which would need a server to compile the code.
