The full story
Glide is an open-source alternative to Screen Studio, the macOS app for making polished product videos. It records your screen, a window, an area or an iPhone, then redraws the cursor, zooms into what you click with spring animations, adds a background, shadow and rounded corners, and exports MP4 or GIF with the hardware encoder.
Screen Studio's behaviour was studied with REA and Claude Code, and the analysis is in the repository. None of its code or assets are used.
