The full story
Short sound effects in the poster's browser game Loot Hole glitched, traced to its Rust Opus decoder. Claude Code and the poster compared all 64 game effects against libopus and used focused tests to narrow down the decoder state transitions.
Claude helped implement the fixes and regression tests and draft the pull request descriptions. That produced four opus-rs pull requests, covering mode-switch redundancy, CELT energy history, Hybrid bandwidth handling and the SILK reset when leaving CELT. They were open but not merged at the time of the post. The lesson drawn was to give the agent a reference output and a test that finds the first mismatch.
