The full story
Go Touch Grass is an Android idle RPG built around one joke: the only way to earn anything is to walk. Steps turn into loot, XP and skill points, which you spend on an isometric base and then defend in real-time tower defence raids against the "Couch Army". It was built almost entirely with Claude Code over 74 sessions and is now live.
The maker kept all game content in config files, kept a BUILD-STATUS.md updated after every session so a fresh session could pick up where the last left off, and made the raid engine testable headless. Claude Code helped chase down harder bugs, such as stride length needing to scale with step cadence (a flat stride undercounted runs by 30 to 40 percent) and syncing the phone's step history without double counting.
