Connected to Home Assistant through HA-MCP, Claude built three automations the owner had been putting off, without them writing any YAML: lowering music when it gets too loud, detecting when the car leaves using Frigate cameras, and solar production and battery notifications.
The video is about working with Claude rather than expecting a perfect first answer: reviewing its changes, testing them, and correcting what it got wrong.
