Home directory wiped after approving the wrong Claude command
A wrong approval let Claude delete the poster's home directory, with no recent backup or remote push to fall back on.

Run agents in a sandbox and keep backups, because one careless approval can delete your home directory.
The full story
While multitasking, the poster approved a Claude Code command that deleted their home directory. They say they were not using "dangerously skip permissions"; they simply approved the wrong thing, and they had no recent backups and had not pushed to a remote.
The post suggests guardrails: pre-execution checks that flag risky commands, soft deletes by default, sandbox isolation away from the host OS, and a second set of eyes on destructive actions. A longer write-up is linked.
