Claude Code on a home server, checked from a phone
A guide to running Claude Code on an always-on home machine and checking progress from a phone over a private network. It notes that most workflows solve running the session but not monitoring it.
The full story
This guide covers running Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode sessions on a machine at home that never sleeps, then checking on them from a phone's browser. Its point is that starting a long session is the easy part; keeping an eye on it and answering its questions while you're away is what most set-ups leave out.
It compares the options honestly. Cloud interfaces are easy to reach from a phone but don't have your local code. Running at home keeps your code and tools but needs a remote view. For the home route it recommends Tailscale Serve to get a secure HTTPS address and a phone-friendly web interface (the guide's own tool, Happier) for check-ins.
Setup guide, not a single verified project.
