The full story
The maker asked Claude to use the KFX Input plugin that Calibre uses to get the notebooks off their Kindle Scribe and onto their computer. The tool reaches the Scribe over MTP, extracts all the .nbk notebooks, then uses the plugin and rasterises the pages into PDF documents.
All the notebooks now sync locally and can be browsed with thumbnails. The maker says Claude reverse engineered it "to the point that it works flawlessly", and they may open source it.
