The full story
The poster bought a Maono DGM20 microphone whose software was Windows only, and asked Claude to reverse engineer it so its settings could be changed on Linux. Claude began by checking what the mic exposes over USB, and the poster says it took about 15 minutes.
The poster then asked for it to be a service with a web UI and an installer. The web UI can be opened from other PCs and phones on the network, and the code is open sourced.
