The full story
A parent introducing their kids to programming with the Edison V3 educational robot wanted something other than the official block-based and Python editors. LORE is a command-line tool that lets you write Edison programs in a subset of LOGO, the classic turtle language, and transpiles them to the robot's MicroPython. It also flashes programs to the robot.
