The full story
The maker rebuilt Nether Earth using specs they wrote and playtesting, while Claude Code did all the implementation through an orchestrator dispatching sub-agents into git worktrees. The repo reached 437 commits, with a Python game engine, a FastAPI/WebSockets backend and a PixiJS frontend.
With every test passing, playing it revealed no terrain, robots taking one cell instead of 2x2, and nuclear robots blowing themselves up from a placeholder rule. The lesson drawn was that tests verify the spec, not the product.
