The full story
A self-described bad singer had improved by using a singing app that scores pitch and timing, until that app changed. So they built OnKey, a free, open-source singing trainer for Apple Silicon Macs. It listens to the music you play and shows where your voice drifts off-key. It's written in Rust with Tauri and uses an ONNX pitch-detection model. The Hacker News post got 237 points.
