Patternbook, a house-drawing game by an architect
An architect who cannot write JavaScript had Claude Code build a browser game where you draw clients' houses with pencil strokes.
The full story
An architect with no JavaScript experience had Claude Code write all of a browser game over about five weeks. Clients write to you and you draw their house at a drafting table, then see it built.
The maker wrote the design in markdown and Claude built it, keeping its own running history file. The drawing system reads real strokes (three strokes close a wall box) and uses a hand-drawn renderer in plain canvas. Claude also wrote a headless Chrome harness that plays the game with synthetic strokes and takes screenshots. It is an early build out for playtesting.
