The full story
An AV technician and IT freelancer ends up with several small SATA SSDs that companies no longer want, and was left with five separate drives in File Explorer. He did not want RAID, so he vibe-coded PoolFS with Claude Code.
Using the WinFsp file system driver, the drives appear as one drive letter such as P:. Files are stored whole on individual drives in a hidden PoolPart folder, so they stay readable outside the pool, and folders can span several drives.
