The full story
After recompiling Poker Smash from Xbox Live Arcade, MonroeWorld tried the same with OutRun, and it was much harder. He spent days on an audio crackling bug that Claude couldn't solve on its own, and the video shows what a port looks like when human work is needed to finish it.
He also answers viewers' questions: whether Claude still lets him do this, what the sessions cost, and why he didn't use a fleet of agents. He explains the difference between decompilation (recovering readable source code) and static recompilation (translating game code to another system), which is what he's doing here.
