The full story
PSoXide is a PS1 development environment written in Rust as a single stack: an emulator, a no_std SDK for the console, an engine layer and a wgpu/egui editor. The maker had wanted to build it for 20 years.
They connected the emulator to Claude through an MCP server with about 25 debug endpoints, so the model can inspect CPU state, VRAM and registers. They report porting the first two Celeste games, running on real hardware.
