The full story
ReaCut is an open-source video editor for Apple Silicon Macs, informed by REA-assisted research into how CapCut (Jianying) behaves locally and stores its projects, within authorised limits and without copying its code or assets. It's an offline desktop app and also a Codex plugin. Speech recognition needs a separate local model set-up. The author says it's early and welcomes help.
