The full story

Relay garden is a small browser game: collect six energy cells, avoid the drones and get back to the dock before your battery runs out. It started as a worked example of using REA on game mechanics. The question was whether moving diagonally makes the player faster.

REA found the movement code in a small JavaScript reference the authors had written. Reading it showed diagonal and straight movement cover the same distance away from the edges. A separate implementation matched the reference across 2,000 test inputs. Original art made with Dreamlayer was added on top, and you can flip between artwork and plain geometry while playing. The walkthrough notes where REA's analysis was incomplete.

What this is. Real projects where people used Claude to build, fix, port, revive or take apart something, from jailbroken Kindles to rebuilt DOS games, plus the times it went badly wrong. Every build links to where it was shared, and every source is listed here.

How far to trust it. We summarise what people reported and say what each build rests on: a full write-up with code, a short post, or a passing comment. We haven't tested them ourselves. Photos are shown from the original sources with credit. Only modify hardware you own, and back up first.
