The full story
The poster used Claude Code (Opus 4.6) to get SolidWorks 2025 running on Proton/Wine. They say the last version they knew of working on Linux was 2022.
During the same session Claude dumped, reverse engineered, decompiled, patched and recompiled one of the Windows installation binaries to get it to work. The poster says it used about 30% of the context in a single session.
