The full story
The poster bought a Terramaster F4-425 Plus NAS and a small UPS, then ran Claude Code on the NAS to analyse and consolidate corrupted data from five hard drives onto 16TB of RAID storage.
Rather than just hashing and merging files, Claude reviewed hundreds of thousands of loose, unfoldered files and worked out how to rebuild lost folder structures by inference. The poster says it did a great job and made a Claude-built dashboard to track progress.
