The full story
VibeOS is a hobby operating system for ARM64, written from scratch with Claude Code in about four weeks by someone who calls it "completely vibecoded". It boots in QEMU and on a real Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, with a retro desktop. The author says not everything works and some parts aren't tested, but most things do. It passed 1,500 GitHub stars.
